One very important thing to keep in mind regarding this knot... never, NEVER ever use it for heavy-load applications --like trying to suspend yourself or another one.

Yes thanks for explaining how to do this knot, and I can use it when next time when I tie the pallets togeather with strips to keep the pigs in their pen on my mates farm in Tasmania.
Granny knots are very hard to get get undone when the strips have been pulled together very tightly.
