Tell your leaders to start using Greek as their mother tongue, if they want to call themselves Macedonians

You stole the history from the Greeks the language from the Bulgarians and the flag from the Japanese..This is ridiculous.

A Slavic nation claiming to be ancestors of Macedonians. Great Alexander and his father Philipos were Greeks, spoke Greek like all Macedonians who were part of GR! At least learn how to speak the same language as Great Alexander before putting up statues of him and claim him as ur own..

- Name and symbols not recognized from Greece
- language and national Balkan war heroes don't recognized from Bulgaria
- church not recognised from Serbia.

With 25% of the population identifying themselves as ethnic Albanians the country north of Greece is playing with fire.

As a bulgarian, I wonder whether the greeks would protest the country being reffered to as "Macedonia" from a regional standpoint, if the people living there now hadn't been brainwashed into having wrongful claims about the ancient historical Macedonian Empire and Alexander. Many bulgarians reffer to themselves as being "macedonian", but they don't mean it in any way connected to that part of history. Several million people came to Bulgaria after the Liberation, the two Balkan Wars and the two World Wars, many of them being from the Macedonian region. For us it's just the name of the region, even though it's a remnant from the hellenistic past.

The region of Luxembourg in Belgium is larger than the country of Luxembourg. But when there is a country that wishes to call itself Macedonia, that naming can be protested because there is a region called that?

But they aren't speaking Greek. How do they think of themselves as Macedonians? I really don't get it? Alexander the Great was speaking Greek, right? Or am I going crazy here?

If you are not North then you are Greek, belonging to Greece. Period.

Really? It was forbidden? Strange. Even my house address is called Macedonia Street since early 1900 when the first houses were built in my district.
