Titanic: A Remembrance (1986 documentary)

On April 15, 1912, the RMS Titanic struck an iceberg and sank in the North Atlantic on its maiden voyage. Approximately 1,500 of the 2,224 passengers and crew died aboard the sinking ocean liner.

The youngest survivor was 10-month-old Frank Aks. He would grow up in Norfolk and in the early 1980s, he spoke about his story to 13 News. A few short years later, the wreckage of the doomed ship would be discovered at the bottom of the ocean floor...

Thank you for uploading this. Very touching accounts by survivor Frank Philip Aks. I always wanted to meet a Titanic survivor, but never got the opportunity. So any footage of them telling their story is historical gold to me and to others of my generation who are interested in Titanic.

There are only a few submersibles that can go down 12, 500 feet deep (1 1/2 miles). It is common to send down non-manned submersibles

Titanic was meant to have 4 engines yet Vrice Ismay shorted the design and ysed the fake fourth funnel to deceive people that there were fiur engines. Concord, its sister ship had 3 funnels, three steam engines along with other mechanics.
