I'm going to use this knowledge next time I'm sneaking into the kitchen at night to eat my kids ice cream.

Works IF Assuming the target is in the middle of the room caught at surprise.
But doesn't work if the target is in ambush mode. Approach cautiously using the pie method, away from the door frame as not to reveal your muzzle.

I love the philosophy behind why they do what they do. R&D goes much further than nylon and kydex

As a Call of Duty camper, I lay down on the floor opposite the swing of the door and wait until I see the toes of boots... Then shoot through the wall.
Standing in the center of the room is what noobs do😂

This guy is awesome! He's all the time concerned about our natural behavior in a stressful situation instead of creating a fantasy.

Very legit. I see most students have trouble with this from their non-dominant side and quite simply more often choosing to practice with dominant hand/eye. Standard firearm favoring right handed operation. Nobody likes getting blasted w/gas and/or casings.

Man has eyes like he only sleeps for 3 hours once every 5 days and nights.

I was also taught in the military that we did this in order to present the full profile of our body armor as opposed to coming in at an angle and taking one under the armpit(almost always certain death as your heart and lungs are behind it)

Yes, let’s base tactics off of assumptions, key being the ignorance of our enemies. Love it

Good intro to clearances!
You can have a million "but what if..." things, but learning the basics like this is the only real advantage you can get.

This is very true if you’ve ever done exercises like this. Jumping works when your hips are parallel with your cover, lead foot then, inside foot goes around. The jump can defeat the awkward moment between working around a corner and scanning. Plus you don’t clog the funnel if you’re point man.

It would be so awesome to see a force on force between these guys and the GBRS group. Just to see how things would pan out between highly trained individuals.
