Official selection for the Tribeca Film Festival 2019, Director Fabiano Mixo's Children Do Not Play At War is a cinematic and interactive VR film that tells the stories of the children of war in Uganda through the words and images of Aloyo, a 12 year-old girl.
Since 1986, Northern Uganda has been a place of constant conflict, where over 75,000 children have been abducted and forced to spend part of their childhood as soldiers by the rebellion forces of the Lord's Resistance Army. See this world from the perspective of Aloyo, as she plays, explores, and shares fireside stories about the children the war took away.
