2010 Ford Escape shifter replacement

Can anyone answer this question…

My Ford Escape 2008, 6cyl WAS having spongy brakes.
Neighbor guys pulled the driver rear tire off to spray the springs and check the piston (ok).
No leaks.
No noise.
No extremely worn down pads.
No leaks around the brake cylinder.
Proper amount of brake fluid.

They pulled off the two springs to the piston and was pressing the brakes.
They put the springs back on and had to adjust the tension screw to get the drum back to fit.

They bled all 4 brake lines as they filled the brake container with brake fluid.

When they finished… the brakes seemed to be better. Not so spongy but, now there’s a clicking noise in the center console gear shift area when the brakes are applied only in park position.

That wasn’t like that before!

I’m assuming I’m hearing that solenoid clicking.

Car goes into drive, reverse, etc., no problem and drives fine.

Do you think they adjusted the tension screw too tight?

I changed the shifter cable and i still cant shift into park once i get the car started. Would this fix that? Thanks for the video

Show me how you but it all back in. The stick with circle (if you will) the gear stick keeps pooping off. Help
