Ford Fusion & Escape Shifter Cable Replacement - Having Trouble Shifting Into Gears?

Ford Fusion & Escape have the same ecoboost engine. Customer complaint was, could not shift into gears. Due to bad shifter cable, either the bracket broke or the lock is not locking in properly, pops out of the position. This do happen a lot to ford fusion and escape.

Just received a recall on my 2015 Escape 4 this cable into the transmission saying the bushing may be faulty or missing if you paid for this repair I believe you should be reimbursed if your vehicle falls under the recall

I've got one in the shop right now. 2010 Fusion. Customer about shit himself when we quoted 7.0 hours of labor for this damn cable. 1 hour diag, and 6.0 for R & R. Easy money!!
