I think Feminism plays a huge role in modern Relationships. They are also too transactional . I also feel social media plays a major role in playing into people's "happiness" they no longer want to sacrifice and stay through the tough times

I was married the majority of my 20’s. My ex wife became more problematic as she made more money than she previously had. Being young and dumb, I didn’t realize her red flags of a rough childhood and her childish behavior, because she was hot and a good lay. Once she got a new job at the end of our marriage, she thought she would be making more than me and her attitude got horrible as she had a new group of feminist friends. I saw what was going on and gave her every opportunity to cheat and she eventually did. I used that to keep all of my money, retirement, the house, and my new truck. Now I had everything I wanted in life except for a good wife. I took a year off to reflect and make adjustments so my 30’s on forward would be great. Part of that was thinking about what I could have done better. Not worrying about the crap she did because she is out of the picture. What could make me a better husband. I decided I needed to be assertive, communicate better, and get some therapy for my combat PTSD. I did all of that and got back to looking for a wife a year later. Now at age 31, I meet a 22 year old about to be 23. She is a f’ing smoke show and even though she was dressed conservatively, I could tell she was fit, ate well, and did squats. We ended up going on a few dates back to back. We spoke about where we see our lives in 5 to 10 years. Her thoughts were on par for me. I told her I saw myself with a traditional housewife raising our kids. I saw myself with a wife who put her entire trust in me to lead the family and never challenged me for the sake of bitching. That was in February 2019. We are happily married with 3 sons and plan on having 1 or 2 more. She worked part time with 1 baby. I had her quit once she was pregnant again. She prides herself on being an agreeable and supportive wife. She takes care of the house and kids. Makes time to workout everyday. She thanks me every single day for working to provide for our family. I say all of this because I want folks to know that these girls do exist. You need to be upfront with your expectations immediately. If they are not onboard, you will know before you get emotionally invested.

Back in the day, other men stayed away from married women. These days it is open season and these women are not satisfied because they keep searching for that dream that they have been sold.

The thing that bothers me is all the kids that are born to single family households. If you don't want to get married stop having children. They start out at a disadvantage 😡

Women use to be at home. Only the milk man was trying to holla. Now it’s DM’s, work husband, dude at grocery store, etc etc. The weak are quickly broken down.

Glad you covered this. I think one of the biggest factors in divorce is how late in life Blacks chose to marry. Most black women are not open to feedback or change in any area of life work or personal in my experience. One of the biggest down sides of this for our community is that married households do better financially. We are increasing the poverty rate.

Last time I got married the ex-wife cheated on me and had me raising three kids for 8 years weren't biologically mine and she did most of the cheating when I was in the army no thank you I'm never getting married again not unless I find a unicorn which isn't likely
