The indoor slave was a woman and I can't remember her name. I do remember that she had been eavesdropping on the "master" and was caught. As punishment, the man had her ear cut off and after, she supposedly wore a turban. After that, she was to look after the children, who were growing up and soon there would be no need for a nanny. Frightened that if this happened, that she would lose her position and be turned out to work the fields, she figured if she could nurse them through an illness, they'd want to keep her in the house. So she plucked belladonna flowers and used their juice to bake a cake.

I can't remember why the "master" didn't eat any of the cake - maybe out on business? At any rate, the mother and the two little girls did. Chloe, I think the slave was named, didn't know how poisonous belladonna was. Her mistake killed the wife and children.

Somehow - either she told him or he found evidence of her crime and ordered that she be hung. She was and supposedly buried in an unmarked grave somewhere on the grounds. Who knows, she may have been given a wooden marker as slaves were not marked with more than a piece of wood that in the intense heat, rain and just moisture of the area, would soon disintegrate.

It's said she and the children are still seen and sometimes people hear the children laughing and playing - particularly in the front lawn where a fountain once stood which is no longer there. One of those black and white photographs shown in this video, purports to show them. Chloe is on the far left almost behind the post and you can clearly see her turban and her long dress. The children are on the slant of the roof and can be seen through the branches of the tree.

The mother's shadow can only be seen in the mirror - and sometimes, her hand prints show up on the glass.

I’m quite bothered by the last mystery story. “The family trapped behind the mirror”
Hasn’t anyone ever seen any of those movies where people get trapped behind a wall but on the opposite side is a wall with no door way so how did they get in. Well what if they weren’t killed and the poison only slowed their hart rate & breathing down to the point they only looked dead. Then some black magic put them in a different dimension or A different realm
It could right? So when people see a hand print or a message, it’s like they breathed on the one side of the mirror then after a few seconds it disappears. Hey the shit could happen who knows
My question is ....If this family is trapped behind this mirror why isn’t someone trying to go to this mirror and try and get them out? If people have seen then screaming from the other side then dammit they want to get out. Why can’t someone at least try? We don’t know everything this universe has to offer right? So come on then. Someone go there and see what they can do for them !
