And this is just Buncombe county. There are 20 counties with catastrophic losses to all infrastructure. Ingress and egress was and remains #1 factor in delays. Choppers were needed. They're coming in now.

We are collecting donations of food, water, toilet paper, female products, diapers etc right now filling 53' trailers. I plan to donate again this month. I can only hope it gets to you all fast!

The silver lining is that almost 6% of Americans have flood insurance, so 6% of the devastation that you see in homes will be fixed and paid for. Still a bad situation, but it would’ve been worse if no one had flood insurance.

They need the military to come in with heavy equipment and reconnect the roadways and make them passable. Also Sat Phones should be dropped in certain areas where people are unable to get out to get accurate information out of the different areas. Then supplies can be dropped off to those in need.
