Creating Foam Effect with T Flow and VDB
00:18
The tutorial focuses on utilizing T Flow and VDB to create a foam effect rather than using mesh geometry.
00:43
Setting up a TP flow in the editor and working with Ty VDB for VDB creation.
01:38
Introducing VDB modifiers like VDB Solver to initiate foam growth.
02:20
Utilizing vector operations like multiplication in VDB modifiers for enhancing the foam effect.
02:58
Incorporating noise maps in material editing to customize the appearance of the foam.
Refining Foam Appearance and Volume
04:43
Adjusting settings to prevent foam from obstructing objects by adding an object to SDF for subtraction.
05:16
Using mesh objects like boxes for subtraction within the VDP creation process to refine foam appearance.
05:47
Fine-tuning parameters such as phase to alter the look of the created foam.
06:24
Utilizing Time Measure and Particle Interface in Phoenix Simulation
This part delves into incorporating time measures, particle interfaces, and Phoenix simulations within 3ds Max for enhanced visual effects.

Implementing Time Measure for Particle Generation
06:24
Creating a time measure within Ty Flow setup for positioning particles based on geometry.
06:59
Configuring a new Ty Flow setup with specific frames and particle numbers linked to time measures.
Integrating Particle Interfaces in Phoenix Simulation
07:27
Adding position objects like time measures to generate particles on meshes effectively.

Hope you enjoyed it.

Hi, amazing tutorial, it's really helpful. I'm just struggling with the bubbles sizes, I can't get the control of it that I need, they are all small with a few big bubbles, but I can't get some mid sized to get some variation or better distribution of the big ones. Can someone give me some tips or explanations?

This is amazing thank you so much!! Is there a way to use this Tyflow technique on a moving mesh?

How do I make the foam follow an object? I'm not succeeding!

When I add the second VDB MODIFY and set it to MULTIPLY, nothing happens. Any solution ? Thanks !

Looks amazing.
I have never used PhoenixFD.

If I understand this correct, the Phoenix Particle shader acts as a material?
No other material needed?

The same technique for Phoenix It will work with Vray volume??

which CPU/GPU you have and how much on average last your render per frame? Are you render on CPU or GPU or hybrid
