Mom of suspect in shootout that killed deputy reacts to newly released video

The mother of a suspect involved in a shootout that left him and a deputy dead is reacting to a video released by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

That “short chase” was about twenty minutes, much of it on a flat rear tire. 😄

In commercial driving, one of the most important rules is never get in a hurry, never rush yourself, because that’s when accidents happen. Watching the original video of the chase and the shooting, it looks like they were in too much of a hurry and rushed into “doing something” without really thinking things through. The perp was stuck and wasn’t going anywhere; there wasn’t anything to lose by just slowing down, taking a deep breath and doing things right instead of doing things quickly.

Sorry, but your son F’d up big time as soon as that back window was busted out and you can clearly see the driver… after the joy ride you just engaged in either your hands go up, and if you reach for something your expired point blank. That poor dog should have never been turned loose into that vehicle. Way too much crossfire. Terrible shooters. Reacting on fear instead of trained instincts this is what happens. No tactics! Part of the job is assuming you won’t go home after your shift. That’s why it’s not for everyone.

when mother of this man that killed a police K-9 and a deputy along with one serious injured officer. The mother said her son was a good boy, but his demeanour ment factual of his evilness of his actions. His shame and guilt will forever remain with this man's actions and he killed.

Shame on you ABC news for airing a slanted story of a poor person down on his luck. Had her beloved son not broken several laws that night all would be better in Sacramento County. Her son was a menace to society and you should report that and that only. That K9’s life was way more important than that of a felon committing more felonies!! The mother should be upset at the District Attorney’s office for plea bargaining his previous felonies and allowing him to roam the streets.
