How to Scan with a BLK360

Scanning a simple apartment with Leica's BLK360 laser scanner. In this video I'm using the BLK Data Manager, which is a free unlicensed tool that you can use to change the scan settings and export the scans.

Is there any auto-level compensator in the BLK? What is the blk moves along with the object during the scan, for example scanning the interior of the boat while the boat slowly rolls in the water? How would a registration happen in this case? Thank you

I tried exporting pts file from BLK 360 to RCP format in Autocad Recap and then tried that rcp file in Revit to follow your another tutorial. I find some errors in the export file. Can you make a video, how to use the output from Blk 360 (PTS format) to model 3d data.? Please.

Hi, I have BLK 360, data manager installed in one laptop. During the outdoor project, I tried installing data manager only in another laptop, cant download it can you help?

Is it possible to walk around the scanner to avoid the scan path, or do you need to hide behind something solid? For example, if I'm scanning an empty warehouse, it would be ideal to just walk around the scanner like a Matterport as it scans as opposed to hiding 60 feet away every scan. Thanks.

I think you can connect the BLK360 directly via WLAN and input the data to REGISTER 360. Here you can choose the resolution too (after the scan). This is not understandable for me.
