How To Scan and Make PDF with iPhone

Did you know your iPhone and iPad have a built-in scanner and can turn any photo into a PDF automatically?

It's inside of the note app that comes with your phone. Simply open the notes app and make a new note.

Press the camera icon and you'll see an option to scan. Choose the scan type, color, black and white, etc, and take a picture.
The note app will automatically scan the image and you can save it as a PDF.

Once it's saved, it can be email or shared via a text message.

It's really that simple to scan and make a PDF with iPhone or iPad.

I can do something similar with my Android phone, but it requires a 3rd party app. The quality is great, but it is not quite as easy to use as what you are showing. I will be getting an iPad soon, though, and I will try scanning from that. For multiple pages and double-sided I have a sheet-fed scanner the works great.

Thank you. Now I don't have to go buy another scanner or crinkle anymore pages in my broken one.

I have iPhone 8 and iOS 16.7.5. I go to the NOTES app, use the camera, scan document, click, keep scan, and save. However, when I click the 3 dots, I only see 4 options - find a note, move note, lines & grids, and delete.

I can’t find send email, or pdf.

Is there a way I can use my iPhone 8 to scan a multi-page document and save it as pdf?

How do you do multiple pages? Let's say I have a 10pg document. Am I doing 1 pg at a time and saving each page and emailing them all as separate PDF's? That seems a bit time consuming.
