Perfectly recorded. I'll never forget the moment when you induced upon me the biggest brain blast ever in regards to unlocking my understanding of what music theory is at it's core. It was in that '3 classic solos' video that you did where you played the stairway to heaven solo and you were emphasizing the effect that the F note has on making the solo sound so cool. That was the moment that unlocked my ability to understand music theory, and also a testament to your teaching ability in that you were able to convey an abstract concept in a way that made so much sense. I've made a comment a while back saying essentially the same thing, but I just wanted to say it again cause I feel that it's necessary.

Since I was about 10, I have regarded (and still do) Stairway as the greatest rock and roll song of all time. I love playing this solo. Thanks Rick!

A year ago I didn't know a G String from an F Hole, but having watched you for years, I decided to pick up my wife's beat up old acoustic about 4 months ago. I've been playing every day. I'm at the point where I could consider learning to play along to this. Probably. I mean, not particularly well, but, a year ago, the prospect of me playing this was about as remote as the prospect of me living next to Elon Musk on Mars.

One of my absolute favorite solos of all time. Jimmy says he just winged it in the studio, but I don't believe that. There's plenty of examples of him "just winging" that solo live with Led Zeppelin, and non of those solos have 1/10th power of the studio version. It (studio version) seems very written and arranged, very well thought out. Top tier stuff. i just think Jimmy likes to add to the aura of his genius maybe? None of that matters though, he played that f**king solo, and it's a monster.

Your video for which this was initially created was one of your most enjoyable. I'll never forget it. Thanks Rick.

The Stairway to heaven 3 solos is one of your best videos. I wish there were more videos like that in the future. I know I’m asking too much, but what an amazing video that is. Great job as always

Thank you, Rick! This is the solo that made me want to learn guitar so many years ago. You and Jack did a great job here.

Wow. I’ve never been happy with how I’ve played this solo. I’ve just realised by hearing this backing track that some of the notes I thought were played as part of the solo toward the start in one of the early runs, were just notes of the chords of the backing guitar.

Good to see all those Tone Benders on the organ.

Something I notice now: the hands of the players. All have strong looking working men hands. Nice to see.
