No one can deny Page's innate ability to deliver what is the very essence of rock guitar solo phrasing. And this Stairway tutorial leaves nothing on the vinyl but the pops and scratches.

After 15 years of trying, I have finally succeeded!
Thanks to your lesson, I managed to separate and understand the different parts of the solo, and play it from start to finish! I will be forever grateful! 🤘 🤘 🤘

I never picked up a guitar until l was sixty five, my son left some years before and left me his guitar, six years on and thanks to you I have mastered this iconic solo you can’t imagine what it means to me, being stuck at home for the last year the guitar has been my saviour, I have watched many YouTube guitar lessons however your calming sense of fun with expertise has really inspired me to play this piece, Black Dog, Ramble On, I will never be the Guitar God you are but I can dream thank you 🙏🤘🏻

What a great lesson. I love how you explain why the F is in the scale.

Sir, I'm a 61 year old dude whose favorite song and solo has been this one since the first time it came out. I've listened to it literally thousands of times, even on top of Mt. Fuji! I hang on every note. You have nailed it the best IMHO outside of Mr. Page himself. I salute you and thank you so much for sharing this lesson with us. Blessings!

Easily among the best guitar tutorials on YouTube.

This is one of the best guitar lessons i've ever come across on youtube. There are so many that call their videos 'lessons' but then just film themselves racing through the song. I love how you actually explain what you're playing phrase by phrase, and slowly! Thank you so much.

Your know what makes your interpretation of the solo good is how you allow for it to breathe...spacing and timing of notes. The solo services the song. Well done dude

OK Sped, i'm now 68, this song started me on my journey about 2-3 years ago, i've got a personal non negotiable target to play Stairway in it's entirety on my 70th birthday! Even bought an el cheapo double neck that i'm building up into quite a good knock off, me being sinestral that hasn't been easy to acquire. This song is the music to my life! Thanks for being part of this journey!

One of the greatest guitar videos ever uploaded to youtube - down to the production, the attention to detail, and of course the virtuoso rendition of the most timeless guitar solo ever recorded by man. Hats off to Sir Sped.

Wow Dude! What a great tutorial - probably the best out there. I'm 54 and have been playing guitar off and on (mostly off) for about 40 years. So, the perpetual beginner here. I've tried to learn this many times over the years but never hit the finish line. Your lesson here is brilliant. I'm gonna dig into this video and get it done! Your tone is dead-on by the way.
Thanks for posting!!

I was struggling a bit with the phrasing of the third lick of this solo and this video really dialled it in for me in a way that I just wasn't getting from others. There's a world of difference between playing the correct notes, and getting the right expression of a solo. Very clear, Thanks.

OMG! Took nearly a week but I learned it. The solo I never thought I'd know. Deconstructing this solo is a masterclass in turning the simple into the iconic. It'll take me another year to get it smooth but that's cool. Thanks, man!!

Sped, you really are the BEST teacher for LED ZEPPELIN. You're the only I've seen that actually cares about being faithful to this work. Thank you for that.

Thanks for adding the info about chords and where the solo notes are resolving. That really helps demystify solos and helps to work on your own ideas. 👍👍

Killer video. I just got the complete, official studio recordings guitar anthology. According to the book, for the final ascending pattern before the fast shredding licks begin, you call it LICK 5, he goes back to the F on the 8th fret of the A string, and then ascends up the pentatonic positions through there. You can also hear on the recording that he is playing on those thicker strings high up, vs. the thinner strings lower on the neck. Obviously, the notation and melody is identical in your version, so I'm not finding fault, just pointing out that there is another place to play it. That's where I naturally went as I'm figuring this out by ear, high up the neck, and other people might prefer to play it there as well. Keep up the great content! Amazing video, once again.

Nice lesson. Great tone. Nice breaking down of each phrase. Once again, after 30 years of 1/2 knowing this solo, I learned it perfectly in a day with your lesson.
