The white woman who called the cops on a black man in Central Park said her “entire life is being destroyed” since video of the confrontation went viral, according to a new report.

Amy Cooper told CNN that she wanted to “publicly apologize to everyone” after she was caught on video Monday morning calling the cops on the man, who asked her to put a leash on her dog.

“I’m not a racist. I did not mean to harm that man in any way,” she told the network.

She SPECIFICALLY said "I'm gonna tell them there's an african-american man threatening my life, " which means she understands the dynamics of Black people and police being a violent one and was consciously trying to weaponize them against him. The "apology" just chucks it all up to her being scared, and does not acknowledge her passive execution method (in fact, she denies it by saying she meant no harm). This is a clear act of aggression by a racist that should be punished, period.

Moral of the story is you get what you deserve.
And she should've been been charged for choking tf out of that dog and making a false police report.

She knew exactly what she was doing. She was literally threatening his life saying she was calling the police and saying she was in danger. Weaponizing the police against black people is nothing new, what is new tho is the world getting to see it. This is deliberate, calculated, and even more malicious in in this modern world where so many have been filmed wrongly killed by police. Just think he asked her to put her dog on a leash which is the rules of the park and she called the cops on him which very well could've lead to his death...

She's only apologizing because she got posted, I bet she doesn't really regret it.

If somebody was scared, they wouldn't stick around.

I wonder if she would have apologized if she would have gotten that innocent man arrested. No sympathy for this lady

😂 Funny how racist are always sorry only after they're called out and face some consequences for their actions, and even then they have an excuse when "apologizing".

I can’t believe how she treats human and the animal alike, she is just terrible garbage !

I think she might have been hurting the dog on purpose? Like maybe she was trying to harm the dog so that if the police did show up, she could say that the guy hurt her dog? Right before the dog yelps, you can see that she's twisting the collar even more to tighten it and her reaction to the dog showing distress is to slam it into the ground. Seems like an evil woman to me. She needs to be prosecuted for putting this mans life in danger and the dogs too.

Her entire life is being destroyed because of her actions? Huh, it's almost as if that's called being accountable for your actions. Weird. Must be a new concept for her. Well, welcome to the world that the rest of us have already been living in. I wonder what she thought she was doing to that mans life by frantically telling the police that he was threatening her when he was trying to keep his distance. I guess maybe she wasn't thinking about that since the life ruining would have been done to someone else and not to her. Justice is a dish best served with a side of irony.

This man is a national treasure! Smart, and cool under pressure. He knew exactly how to twist her racist ambitions around against her. Let this be a lesson black men : Don't fight. Don't be the stereotype. Just remain calm and document. Shouldn't be this way, but it's the world we live in.

As a Black woman, I am not going to revel in this woman getting fired, and I am not going to say her racist act defines her as a racist. Stressed, she grabbed “racial tension/fear” from her consciousness to gain the upper hand. Was that wrong? Definitely. Did she deserve to get fired? Probably. Does she deserve death threats and to have her life forever turned upside down? Absolutely not! In the heat of passion, we go where rational thought would never allow us to go -- Ms. Amy Cooper’s life should not be ruined, as we all have the ability to evolve….

KARENS NEVER LEARN THAT THEIR BAD BEHAVIOR IS BEING RECORDED EVERYWHERE. DO THEY THINK THEIR IMMUNE OR INVISIBLE TO CAMERAS ?

Two wrongs do not make it right. There is more to the video and the female sounded agitated, emotional and fearful. The black man instigated the incident and antagonized her. She handled the situation poorly without regard to political correctness. However, Franklin Templeton also handled the situation incorrectly. Inferring that her behavior emanates from racism is not justified nor correct. The black man started videotaping her even though she asked him politely to stop it! Alone and vulnerable in the park, she felt threatened!

Tried to get that man arrested or shot and choke a dog now you’re life is being destroyed? Disgusting human being, she deserved it

I saw another video where the black guy admitted to threatening her because she didn't want to leash her dog. That seems to be left out of this video. She shouldn't have said " I'm going to tell the police an African American man is threatening me" however its mildly racist to someone she was in a dispute with. If it were reverse and she had threatened him and he called the police saying "there is white woman harassing me" nobody would call him racist. I'm not saying she isn't racist but lets not over blow it.

The woman was NOT justified for that and should be ashamed. However, the man was up to shenanigans, too -- he had treats with him that evidently he brings to lure dogs in his way of being the self-appointed police of park rules. This was Karen (the woman) against BBQ Becky (the man). The man carries an on-going anger against unleashed dogs, but it's understandable that the woman was angered by a stranger luring her dog with unknown food, as if to teach her a lesson, and on top of that to whip out his camera to shame her (before she said anything about cops). He should have just reported the rule violation rather than take it in his hand to antagonize a solo woman in Central Park (infamously dangerous place for solo women). In the end, what the woman did was disgusting. I needn't have come to that though. A black family barbecuing in a park where it's not allowed, with smoke and fire? BBQ Becky sticks in her nose to tell them to stop. A white lady walks her dog off leash? BBQ Bill sticks his nose in to teach her a lesson. Two uncivil people; one escalated by bringing a racial threat into the conflict.
