The Manhattan District Attorney's office announced charges Monday against Amy Cooper, the white dog walker who was caught on tape threatening to call police on a Black bird watcher in Central Park.

She is charged with filing a false police report.

Defense attorney Robert Barnes, who has previously represented Alex Jones and Wesley Snipes, is representing Amy Cooper.

The victim isn’t cooperating here because he thinks she’s had enough of a consequence (losing her job and being absolutely humiliated and outed as a bigot). Once again, a victim of color taking the high road. Not only is this man a minority, but he’s also gay, so it’s needless to say he’s lived a life full of discrimination for one reason or another. The amount of grace this man has is amazingly admirable.
