I was an F16 Crew Chief, saw many demonstaition flight during my years in, but watching my first F22 demo was like watching a UFO. It did things that i had once believed impossible.

I saw an F16 go straight up after take off, but it looked like he leveled off around 10k feet. I saw it while served in the Air Force. It was amazing to me❤

Back when I was a young guy, I was fueling and tugging GA Acft in South Florida. We had a former Line guy from our Company, get his Private, Twin, then Jet Acft ratings, and he crewed on a Citation ll.
One time he was at our he had to dead leg the airship up to the Virginia Area, All by his time driving Dads car, without Dad ( know what I Mean?)
We were all pretty tight with the tower guys, so our Pilot set things up for gave us a thrill.
I fueled him at 6: 30. Tower opened at skies....no traffic.
Jimmy told us to leave tower on our radios and hand sets and get a good seat. So the 5 of us on duty were standing on top of our three fuel trucks and the Tug with our Radios at 11!
Tower cleared him, and gave him a " All's Clear Jimmy....God ground guys are in Position!"
Jimmy roared past us at breakneck speed holding it down longer, then popped up into a high performance takeoff for a over the radio....he was playing Top Gun Danger Zone song!
We were all jumping up and down and whooping it up, and when I looked to the guys hit a couple light gun bursts at us.
Just a little fun nobody needed to know It was just a normal day on that airfield!

F35 does a better vertical take off 😆 just messin... I'm an aircraft mechanic and have worked on F35s at my plant... all of our birds are very amazing machines and very capable... God bless the USA!!! Thank you to our armed services... I'm proud to have taken part in working on some of the equipment that keeps our homeland safe...

I remember doing a school project on the F-22 back in 8th grade around 1999. It's amazing how advanced the technology of this plane really was.

I live a about a mile from the airport in Oshkosh . During the EAA I see those jetsfly over my house a lot.

I live about 40 miles south of Oshkosh. Have gone to the air show almost every year since I was 10. If you are in Wisconsin when the show is on, I highly recommend you go!!

My kids look forward to seeing the F22 every summer! We’ll travel a little to the closest Midwest show to see it so like Dayton, Cleveland, KY, even Chicago.
But this summer they aren’t close AT ALL😢
Seems like all west coast/South/ and Fl!
Can’t find F22 or F35 close this summer! Really sucks
