Good stuff. 20 years ago, I was responsible for 3 Matsurra Horizontal Mam Cells all tied to a 30 pallet system. We ran the same 3 shift schedule like you did. However, we only ran aluminum and did not attempt to run titanium, stainless or Inconel unattended. My hat is off to you if you left any of these running "lights out". Found out that ceramic spindle bearings were not very long lasting at high rpms.

I went out on a limb to buy and OKUMA LB 15 for £78000 in the 1980 s. Put the cost on a board above the machine to make me concentrate on what it had to earn. Worth every penny.

Hey Titan, we operate the same way. We have 12 machines that basically run non-stop. During our 1 shift during the day we handle the singles and small orders then we set up the machines at the end of the shift to do the big runs to run the 15 hours lights out when no one is here . Every machine had a barfeeder and a robot doing machines tending. And now we're just getting into doing some sub assembly with our robots while they wait for the next part to come off the machine.

Productivity is a key. I work in metalworking industry from 6 months, just got a permanent contract and running 3 CNC machines at the same time. It's crazy how automated everything can become. This machine is a good investment. You will make the money back in no time. :)

I got a ? How do you do ur pay raises. If a guy has a rough start but has been there for almost a year dose that have an effect. Killer vid love how you aim for the working man posting when they are getting up an what not.

This man could sell his services as a trainer, if a fraction of companies had the kind of respect expectations for their employees he does, I think a lot less people would hate their jobs.

My personal best is 928 parts in 8 hours including a 10 minute startup procedure (including unlocking my office) and a 30 minute cleanup. The automatic machine that failed to do them do their small size only does 800 per 8 hour shift and it never even gets cleaned...

The electrical expense must be incredible! The dollar value in seems massive, but I bet the net profit is a small part of it. How much for maintenance, how much for tooling replacement, how much for machine replacement, how much for salaries, etc.

Plenty of people are happy to drag out hourly jobs to help cover overhead
