How do you check if someone is at home in Home Assistant?

I remember when they first removed the all device trackers group from the default group creation. I ended up manually creating it again as there wasn't another way at the time. Home Assistant has come such a long way. When I move to my new place, there will be so many things that can be done differently

Really? I had an ah-moment!
You just type in "all" and address all the lights?
I painstakingly created a script and selected all groups/rooms/lights and was annoyed when I changed devices and had to adjust the script.

I didn't know there was really a function to address all lights at once.
Thanks! Are all lights addressed or all devices?

To check if all are home/away, I created a template sensor "all home". Both at home=at home, one person away= away.
Then also "someone home" which is "home" as soon as at least one person is home.

Hi. The question is how to check if a person is home or away?

Why do people turn of lights when you leave home. Your telling people your house is empty. I turn mine on when I leave.

Actually the trigger does not work for me. If I use state with zone.home change to 0 it will never be true because the state is not a number in my case. I don't know why but it does not work. I also tried to type '0' with single quotes but this also doesn't work. Maybe someone knows a solution?!
