A excellent review sir as always Sir, my dad had a Mark 7 Style with the 1.25 Engine. I would always take a Zetec SE Engine over a Eco Boom

Buy the older model without the eco-boost engine with a manual gearbox….avoid the robotised power shift manual….its not a proper auto. If you want an auto, buy a different car.

Friend of ours had one of the later ones with the early eco-boost + manual, then upgraded to 2018 Fiesta with Eco-boost + 6 speed manual. Ironically neither eco-boost gave any problems. Both very reliable cars. Both, but especially the 2018, rides really well over rough roads - way better than my Honda. And being a fiesta it corners and darts around like a go-cart.
Downsides are, even the newer version can have window winders in the back…as our friends one has, but def try the back before you buy if you intend to carry passengers….rear cabin access is somewhat awkward due to sporting looks/low roofline - leg room not great.

The fit & finish is also impressive, esp the newer examples….again noticeable improvement over my car.

A final edition Ford Fiesta Vignale is a very appealing proposition for a small, luxurious, and economical car with good styling. Hopefully, it will be a future classic, plus we like luxury on this channel.

Oh Ford and their crazy myriad of trim levels. I don't know how the salespeople kept up with what option was on what vehicle! Nice review of this ubiquitous runabout, sir. They tried to sell a fairly recent iteration of the Fiesta over here, and it flopped, again. Americans just can't get on with it, but I always rather liked these charming little cars. I'm sure they'd get on with it better if petrol prices were higher.

Lovely looking cars these later Fiestas and I appreciate that they are nice to drive. Not quite enough to dissuade me from a Korean or Japanese brand thus far. If I had to have a Ford then I'd rather have one of these over a Focus.

What folly the current strategy Ford find themselves on. Replacing the Fiesta with the truly hideous EcoSport is bordering on criminal. Always thought the EcoBoom controversy marred an excellent car’s reputation, in Zetec form anyway.
