My Doxie didn't mind being left alone. He would just take a nap while nobody was home. He had cats to keep him entertained if he wanted to. If I ever get a new dog, it will be another dachshund.

I put music on before I leave home and I have Ezviz camera on when I leave home so when she barks and winges I can call her, this calms her down quickly, and goes back to sleep. I don't make a big fuss when I get back home but give her attention a few minutes later

Please do your research when you're looking for daycare. I recently quit a daycare job where there were aggressive dog fights every week. It would always end up being more than the first 2 who started it. Often 6 dogs

Hi. Love your videos!! Can I just ask.. is crate training so important when the puppy has a companion? My pup won't go in the crate, she just wants to be with my dog - and when she is, she's totally settled

Yeah, I think I am giving too much affection to my mini grand puppy. I pamper his every whim and desire. 😒🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 he goes to the bathroom with me, and cries at the base of the tub while I’m showering. Sometimes, he has to stand up on the tub and peek his head past the curtain, and that’s still traumatic for him. I’m talking to him the entire time, telling him grandma is right there! Lol it’s just so darn hard!

You mentioned planning ahead, what would that look like? I plan on popping in during my lunch time for a nice walk to allow my puppy to use the "facilities" and tire them out, but what else can you do? Kongs and frozen treats to keep the mind busy?? My dog is a mix, dachshund/pitbull, but seems to favor his dachshund side. He cries when left alone, then settles down, then jumps all over me when I return.

My doxie male wanted to be with me all the time, or so I thought, then I broke my arm, tripped on my dog, I sent him off to my son haus, he had 2 female dogs, was my dog happy, he was ignoring me already, stayed there for 3 months, til I recovered, got my dog back, well he's alot more behaved and not as clingy .
