👉While anti-dandruff shampoos can be effective in treating dandruff for many people, there are a few reasons why some individuals might choose not to use them or may want to be cautious when using them:

👉Chemical ingredients: Anti-dandruff shampoos often contain ingredients such as zinc pyrithione, coal tar, salicylic acid, or ketoconazole, which can be effective against dandruff but may also cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in some individuals. These chemicals can be harsh on the scalp and hair, leading to dryness, itching, or redness.

✅Dependency and rebound effect: Some people find that regular use of anti-dandruff shampoos leads to dependency, meaning their dandruff worsens when they stop using the shampoo. This can create a cycle where they feel compelled to continuously use the product. Additionally, over time, the effectiveness of the shampoo may decrease, leading to a rebound effect where dandruff returns and becomes more difficult to manage.

✅Disruption of natural scalp balance: Anti-dandruff shampoos are designed to remove excess oil and flakes from the scalp, but they can also strip away the natural oils that help maintain the scalp’s moisture balance. This can lead to a dry and irritated scalp, causing further dandruff or other scalp issues.

✅Environmental impact: Many anti-dandruff shampoos contain chemicals that are not only potentially harmful to the body but also have adverse effects on the environment. These chemicals can enter water systems and contribute to pollution, which can harm aquatic life and ecosystems.

👉If you’re experiencing dandruff and are concerned about the potential drawbacks of anti-dandruff shampoos, there are alternative approaches you can consider. These include using natural remedies like apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, or aloe vera, maintaining good scalp hygiene, avoiding excessive use of styling products, managing stress levels, and ensuring a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle, which can all contribute to a healthy scalp and hair.

Head & Shoulders is the ONLY shampoo that cleared up the dermatitis and soothed the itching. "Clear" has been out of production for years.

You have great content but what's the benefit of it when you ask people to stop using something without recommending another? Makes no sense 😕

As a hairdresser of nearly a decade, I can tell you, that you're not intended to apply strong shampoo on your hair.
I have noticed hairlines of many folks, and I observed that people who were using harsh shampoo cleansers usually had poor hairline.
So I advise only to use mild shampoo only. I personally use and recommend to use littleextrra cocconioon shampoo only.
Also, do warm oil massage two times a week as it enhances circulation and encourages hair growth.

I loved CLEAR shampoo & conditioner, it was the BEST dandruff shampoo out there at an affordable price! I bought WEN from a tv commercial & that gave me horrible dandruff that I NEVER had before. I was part of a class action lawsuit against WEN. Clear nursed my scalp back to health and my dandruff went away forever! I now use ITS A 10, which are my favorite hair care products hopefully these don’t get discontinued. Seems good products are getting discontinued, then all we’re left with is poor quality products!!

This is actually true. I've had a dry scalp for some reason but when i started using it because my mother bought it for me i thought it was good cause of the minty smell but no it caused me to have more itch and dandruff when i dont use it. Now i only shampoo every 3-4 days and dont feel itchy i only water my scalp and just massage it. Yeah you might feel the occasional itch but its still not that bad when getting them only 1 dau without use

I once used Clear to wash out the lightener from my hair 6 times in a day (I have VERY thick hair and had to bleach it in parts) and I'm still dealing with the consequences 1.5 years later. Do not do that guys. My scalp pH balance was destroyed :(
