@3:25 | Regarding the audio skipping on the AA Wireless. It's caused when you have the Wireless settings set to Auto, which originally was the AA Wireless's default setting. It's the AA Wireless jumping bands. To correct it go into your settings for WiFi and select a specific band rather than Auto. I've used both 165 and 161 and the audio skipping immediately disappeared. It's also worth noting that AA Wireless corrected the issue with an app update/firmware update last December, shortly after your review. The unit now defaults to 149 rather than Auto.

Most useful review and comparison by a mile, except for the fact that I wasn't able to find it easily after searching Youtube, because the title makes it specific by mentioning the pixel 7 pro. That means that more generic titlles (with lesser reviews) are listed first.
Thanks for sharing!

I have the AAwireless unit and it works well with my factory GM head unit connecting as soon as I start the car and not randomly dropping out like my wired connection did. As for charging I have a 65w charger for my S23U so not having a pass through doesn't bother me. Edit: May 2023 and this unit is not behaving well anymore and is disconnecting plus if the app updates it refused to reconnect until I completely remove the app and reinstall it.

I was astonished when I rented a Corrolla and could connect wirelessly. I figured it had to be more reliable than wired, cause every bump on the road screw up the connection. Im a total layman but I'm guessing that Android Auto uses every single "pin" in the USB port, so when one pin jiggles the entire thing fails.

I've never seen an application that is MORE reliable when using a wireless connection? I couldnt believe it, but it worked better!

I had no idea there was a product to adapt! My mother is giddy waiting for hers in the mail, she had the same issues! Thank you for the first-hand review!

I have almost the same set up as you. I am running Pixel 7 in a 2022 Tucson PHEV with Carsifi but my experience has been less then great. Carsifi only connects about 30% of the time. I am constantly receding the USB A plug to reboot. If you can share your settings in AA, Carsifi that would be greatly appreciated.

From all those Android adapters, Ottocast is the only one capable of charging your mobile phone, or any other USB device. This is good for those drivers who only have one USB connection available in their car. Hope that helps!.

It's a good comparison video. Thank you for sharing. My car is also Tucson L Hybrid. I will decide to buy AAWireless Wireless Dongle.

Thanks for the excellent review, but I have a question.
I have VW Arteon 2018 and at the moment I’m using a cable connection,
will all these products give me more apps than what I’m getting
with my cable connection or it’s very much the same?

I got carsifi, worked right off the bat perfectly. Super convenient and starts up about as fast as plugging it in

about the audio skipping. I got myself a wireless AA headunit and it was one of the first things I've noticed. I think that's just how android works. I notice it on my pixel 6 whenever the 4G signal drops. I think it's just the antenna amplifier taking over the wifi to boost LTE connection.

I have Carlinkit T-BOX Plus, this is the only one that doesn't have stuttering problems on music every 10-15 minutes.. I'm tested all Carlinkit and Ottocast devices, all had stutters only the T-box Plus did not, even after a 5 hour trip.

Carsifi still the way to go? Saw that the app has a bad rating of about 1.8

Toyota Venza isn't listed on Android Auto's website as being supported.

Can you use your phone with these as if it was connected directly to the car? I've just had Carlinkit 4.0 tested and it turned out pretty bad, as soon as Android Auto started, my car (Golf MK7) displayed 'Please connect your phone' on the gauge cluster display. Tried different settings as well as factory reset to no avail. Dialing from the car's display was possible, but the actual call happened through earpiece rather than car audio. Pretty useless.
