Marvel seems to be filled with a lot of "necessary evil". you got the brood, you got galactus (who apparently the universe literally can't survive without), you got the cosmic entity death, and I feel like there's a lot more that I just can't remember right now.

The Brood Gave us one of the most interesting X-men Broo who had the mutant power of compassion XD

So they're basically the xenomorphs as they were originally envisioned by Dan O'Bannon. In his screenplay it's heavily implied that the Alien is the last of its race, and that while their biological cycle is monstrous to us humans, the creatures long ago had evolved at least to an Iron Age level, if not beyond. But since the Alien that births out of Kane is just an infant, it does not have adult Aliens to guide it and teach it, and so it behaves like an animal.

When I lived in Japan in the 80's, comics were scarce and had to be ordered from the mainland if you wanted a subscription - There were no bookstores on military bases - I will never forget in summer of 1989, two of my buddies were looking at an X-Men issue called "The brood is back" - I had never even heard of the X-Men, but what they told me about the brood, it blew me away - This got me interested in comics being that they had said the X-Men comics was their soap opera - Great memory and great summer -
