Really good review! I very much appreciate the lack of benchmarks as that stuff is way beyond what I need. Sounds like 8 GB memory would be ok for light Photoshop editing and Lightroom use is that accurate? I'd l like to keep the cost down but 8 GB feels uncomfortable for some reason.

Not sure why they didn't include 4g LTE modems.
It's already using a mobile chip.

Thats easy. Average users, yes. MBA will be great for the average user. If you believe you need much more power than wait to see what they bring in 2021. I maxed out the M1 MBP and I absolutely love it and it will last for years. I retire in 3 years and I expect to have this beyond that and at least a few years afterwards.

I bought a Mini as a placeholder until the MacBook Pro 16" is released. I can run it on my 8-year-old MacBook Pro or through my 28-inch monitor. I am loving it more daily. I might be in a dilemma about getting the new MacBook Pro.

Mine arrived Saturday. Its my first Mac device so am still getting used to it but i love it alot. I got on amazon £100 cheaper than its retail price so £899. That paired with prime next day delivery. Definitely a sweet deal i got there.
