I’m disgusted. Chad was obviously no saint, but letting Dean free after only 8 years, EVEN though he admitted guilt and DESPITE the fact that he would not even allow Chad’s family the small mercy of burying his remains, and THEN letting him blatantly violate the rules of his conditional release even with his slap-on-the-wrist sentence with zero A hideous miscarriage of justice. Canada’s legal system is absolutely broken.

8 years for killing and butchering a body ! Insane !!!! No wonder there’s people like this!!! It’s a slap in the wrist ! And then they come back in society ! Putting society a risk !!! There’s no justice here !!!!

Why would a high risk inmate be given statutory release and on top of that ZERO consequences for breaching his release conditions. Canadian justice is infuriating.

Eight years for murder is not justice. This is so tragic for Chad & his family.

Typical Canadian "Justice". An "Oh you naughty Boy! Go to your room!" 8 years and this creep never even admitted to where the body is. I'm ashamed to be a Canadian.

I just cried when I heard the mom's plea for him to tell her what happened to her son and where the rest of his body was. My deepest condolences to Chad's mom and sister and father. This police officer Cliff O'Brian is a good man and great police work all together. But 8 years is not much but a little justice is better than no justice. RIP Chad.

In USA he would get a life sentence, which is what he really deserves, as he took a life and committed a gruesome dismemberment afterwards!!! 8 years in prison is not a fair sentence for what this monster did to his "best friend!" Sickening!

Good for David for doing the right thing. Need more ppl like him. And although he's got his troubles, collecting bottles is work and its helping the environment and it's legitimate work.

10 years for killing your friend, dismembering his body? The Canadian 🇨🇦 justice system is truly a joke! Sickening and beyond comprehension! No justice in that country!🇦🇺

I grew up in the same neighbourhood as Miranda was from, her and my older brother were friends for years and she still comes to visit my family when she comes back to the city. She always seemed like a really sweet girl I was always a lot younger than her but
Much respect Miranda and sorry about your loss

The Canadian Justice System For Ya! What an absolute joke and what a slap in the face to his loved ones... He was never truly a friend to Chad, a true friend would never kill their friend... May Chad rest easy....

The killer is now out of jail and on Facebook and very public makes himself sound like a victim. It’s crazy.

Sincere condolences to Chads family. His mothers plea for answers was heartbreaking to watch. May Chad be Resting In Peace, watching over his loving family. The sentence for this animal was a slap in the face to the rest of Canadians! Disgraceful.

Anybody with feelings would have been affected by Chad's mother's pleas... my heart was gripped in pain for her. I don't think earthly justice was served in this case. He should not only have done more time for murder, but also for desecrating a body and scattering the parts where they couldn't be found. I hope Chad's mom and sister find some peace in this life.
