You deserve it. I remember your early content and you have completely figured out what you need to to keep us listening to you for 30 mins straight… you definitely deserve the Ferraris it’s not just our niceness. It’s proof you’re good at what you do

As an enthusiast, I believe that you can apply your Ferrari ownership experiences to almost any brand. By that, I mean if your car floats your boat, ticks the boxes, call it what you will - regardless of means - you will justify the expenditure just 'because'. Keep driving those beauties, James (and all you others out there with something interesting in the garage...), as it allows the rest of us that 'know' to enjoy them when we see them, too. Having said that, I'm off to nowhere in particular with far more horsepower than is really needed to get there. See you out and about, all!

At last. Someone on YouTube who understands the difference between mechanical grip and handling. I salute you, sir, you just went up in my estimation

I waited 17 years before I bought a Boxster, it didn’t get any more affordable over those years and the only regret I have is that it took so long!

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said, “Old cars are expensive.” I think I spent more on my old Range Rovers than my Porsches. That’s just how it is, but I do miss them.

I’m 60, so not a little boy, but I do still get joy from seeing really nice cars out and about. It is priceless. Keep your chin up.

Thank you James; clearly an emotional time you are dealing with and I truly wish that your pain and suffering is short lived. Before you even bought your 550, we were discussing a few ideas together so I've been enjoying your journey since very early on. You have summised perfectly what the ownership of such special cars should be all about. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful cars and for being so open and honest about the ownership experience.

James, just wanted to let you know that his was one of the most interesting, enjoyable and emotional (well for me at least) car videos I have ever watched on youtube. Here's to your abundant talent in planning, writing, filming, presenting, narrating and editing these videos! If there is someone else helping you in the process, my hat is off to them as well. Please keep up the absolutely stellar job. Best regards from Brasilia, Brazil.

Wise words at the end my friend. I agree 100%. Everytime you seat in your car, everytime you meet new car friends and talk about your passion, it helps to go though the not so easy things in life. Thanks for your videos!

This video got my like when Jay admitted his appreciation of "successful" people's Ferraris was perhaps materialistic... and then stood by it. It's important to recognise all aspects of yourself, whether good, bad or otherwise. And speak to them frankly.

You have made a lightbulb go off for me with this video as I have never understood why I love cars so much and how to quantify why I love driving them to get the feedback from the car, letting it talk to you, getting it to dance in to a corner and squared away for corner exit is what makes my day in a car and when you talked about handling 💡 thank you!

From the outside looking in, it seems a very frustrating experience to have a car that is often being repaired (costing me 5 figures for the pleasure) then, getting it back only for it to still have an issue that will take more time and expense to repair. I cant fault the idea of owning a ferrari but, to have to own 3 just to be able to have 1 available to drive.... and it still having a problem requires patience and a depth of pocket i just dont have.

I’ve had a 458 and a Huracan and I have to say that both were blow your mind special when you first get in to them and say “this is my car”! Both felt so special.

Ferrari do overcharge for parts. I used to work on them in the late 90s . I remember being blown away that they wanted £6k for the chicken wire mesh for the back of an F40 let alone the £40k for a Perspex rear window. And that was 1997 prices! But this is what you expect as a customer so they can carry on. My old employer is long gone now so I don't mind saying I used to go to scrap yards to get bits of Fiats and Peugeots etc that we charged insurance company full Ferrari list price. Dodgy bastards!

‘Looking down at the horsey, and thinking I’ve done alright’…….. That’s what it’s all about. Great video! 👍🏽 Hopefully our paths will cross when I’m out and about in mine 🚗👍🏽

Well said and nicely explained. I am currently saving for a F430 - although I have a standard life/salary. For me, I may never make it to ownership, but it is my personal goal and my own self-satisfaction. It is not to show off, but more to be something I can be proud of and enjoy for me.
