Everyday: doing the bed, emptying the dishwasher that I started the night before, taking out recycle/trash, vacuuming, wiping dinner table and kitchen counters. These only take 20 minutes total and they have such a BIG impact. Everything else I do weekly or just wipe as needed, also there's a "tidying up after you used it" policy at my home so it never really gets messy.

I wash and fold at least one small load of laundry every day. This habit has changed my life!

my favorite Melissa quote since I have started watching this channel - "Mess begets mess"...it really helps me to take 1 min to wipe up the toothpaste, rinse off my dish, switch the laundry, put my clothes in the hamper, or just put things away as soon as I am finish using it

Kitchen is the FIRST thing - before bed. It really helps to wake up to a fresh clean kitchen starting the day. I start laundry so it can be running simultaneously to whatever else I’m doing. We have so many projects going on now but if those two things are managed first - I can get through the morning... or at least until lunch!
Tackling the basement this month. Ugh...

You are my favorite YouTube lady & for cleaning. I can never forget you. My ex taught me to take stuff that belongs to the kitchen, etc.

I’m definitely a person who cleans/disinfects. My husband hates clutter, I don’t care about clutter at all. A video series on how to become more like the opposite “cleaner” type would be awesome!!

The dishes done before we go to bed & making the bed before I leave for work. If I come home to either of those things not done it sets me on edge the rest of the evening.

My daily tasks are: dishes& counters, put away living blankets, make bed, put dirty clothes in hamper. It's pretty minimal because we don't mind if it's not clean every day so long as it's tidy. On the weekends we vacuum and dust and do laundry.

Family of six here. I always do a load of laundry and the kitchen table. Also, doing dishes after EVERY meal instead of waiting until the end of the day was a real game changer for me.

I need to tidy horizontal surfaces every day to experience calm. And after doing the quick ordering, I take a deep breath and say I enjoy this. It becomes rewarding on many levels.

MIA's (most important areas) was a good tip for me. Recognizing the particular areas that cause me stress gives me a place to start...I am going now to tackle my cluttered kitchen & bath counters.

I am slowly starting to get my energy back! My house is starting to be clean again! So glad I can celebrate these small victories on a channel like this... I was going crazy, having a messy house & nothing I could do about it😫😤😱😭

My daily tasks are dishes, kitchen, a load of laundry, making my bed and tidying my room (our special needs daughter has her own bed in our room). I vacuum the whole house once a week and sweep as needed. Bathrooms once a week. Postpartum depression was extremely difficult for me trying to maintain our home, so for the last few months I’ve been really decluttering. If we haven’t seen/used it in 6 months we don’t need it, with a few exceptions. I take on one “project” a day, like our closet, or vacuuming and organizing our dresser drawers. It’s finally where I want it! It’s still a pain to maintain with 3 kids, but it’s manageable.

Getting started on cleaning - for me - is all about taking the first step. Your advice is always motivating!
Thanks for getting us in the best frame of mind to get the job done.

I have been waging a personal war on clutter in the past year. Less clutter makes it easier to clean. I have also delegated certain tasks to my teen sons. They do their own laundry and clean their bathroom every week. One takes out the trash, the other burns paper (we live in the country). Daily I do dishes, one load of laundry (mine and my husbands, towels, sheets, etc), vacuum (we have a German Shepard) and tidy up. It works for us 🙂
