The RODE PodMic USB is an excellent addition to the Rode Podcaster and PodMic line up. It allows USB-C AND XLR inputs. It pairs directly with your computer via USB-C input and can be used as an XLR mic as well with the interface of your choice.

How do you intend to use your microphone; gaming, podcasting, video conferencing? Let me know!

Great video Robert! One question, when you connect the mic via USB-C isn't the sound very quiet? I have the same setup as you going into the Mac Studio. I had to max out the Input on the System Preference and also to +63db, BUT still cant hit -6 db when recording... am I doing something wrong or I got a bad mic? I couldn't find answer anywhere :(

When the first showed off the new pop filter I thought it was great, not anymore. It’s too big. The mic itself is the best looking mic available. I can’t cover that up.

I appreciate your honesty. I can’t get my PodMic USB to capture sound. Any suggestions?

Hello. Thanks for the review. Can you tell me if the microphone can simultaneously output sound via USB and XLR ?

Good Evening Sir,

If I buy Rode's pod mic and universal volt audio interface. So will I get professional quality? I want to record my written poetry at home and I want crisp and studio quality. Will this setup be ok? I am not getting good advice from anyone. Please tell me which mic and audio interface should I buy?
