I am a ot student and in lockdown not allowed to go to the college. I have my online lecture today on suturing techniques and instruments.

Thank you for this! I had a foot of intestines removed. A part of it was the size of an orange and stuck itself to my abdominal wall, so they had to completely open me up to get it out and stretch all my intestines, this was my first ever surgery! I have 39 staples all together, and I'm getting them removed tomorrow, I'm excited to finally get them out! My fibromyalgia makes them feel like they are burning my skin 😢

Hello there, interesting video! I've got a question about it though.
I'm a first years nursing student from Belgium and during my internship I watched some nurses remove these kind of staplers.
They told me to remove every other staple on one day and remove the rest of the staples on the next day (they where situated on a hip). I assume this will allow the skin to acclimatize to the new pressure?
You didn't adress this, so I was wondering, what is your view on this method?

I just used a pair Milwaukee wire cutters, and needle nose pliers to pull them out after I cut the center

I did my surgery 4 days ago and next week I will go to remove the staples from underarm area . I thought I need freezing 🤔🤔 . And I thought doctor will ask me to do that after three or four weeks because I have diabetes 🤔🤔 .

Sir, after operation put the pin ( stapler ) a week end removel all pins
But sometime forget one pin cannot take.the pin is go to inside of skin two weeks or three weeks. After any side efcting inside of skins.

I tried taking my midline staples out by myself and i done one upsidedown and it's now stuck in my skin, is there anyway to fix this without going to a doctor?

Had surgery on my intestines 2 weeks ago left the hospital. Doctor had me come in to have my staples removed the Surgeon was in a hurry had an emergency at the hospital to get to he missed 1 of the staples I didnt notice till the next day. Didnt want to go back typed in staple remover post op on Google. Found a staple remover tool on Amazon bought it and watched a YouTube video on how to use the tool tried it didnt do it right 1st time 2nd try was a Success pretty easy.

I had one of these removers at home but had the initial staples removed at the hospital. I had a surgery again on the same part of my body recently and decided to remove them myself. Very useful video, 19 staples removed from my leg pain free 👍
