I never use compliments except for maybe "You have a nice smile!" which only makes them smile more.

On a date though, I might say "you look nice today" or "I like your outfit/hairstyle".

I NEVER call a woman pretty, beautiful, hot, or gorgeous unless they are my gf already. Girls who are good looking hear this all the time, and they're sick of it. Guys with no game (but who think they have game) do this all the time.

Question, if you go to compliment a girl, and it comes off more like a “neg” sort of by accident(maybe it sounded sarcastic)...should you ever apologize for hurting her feelings? I don’t know if you’re then considered beta for that, especially if you’re just SPECULATING she’s offended and don’t actually know. Sometimes a “neg”, although I’m not a huge fan because it’s not my style, can actually present you as less needy/insecure. This is all new to me, so I don’t mean to ask an obvious question.
