George Eastman invented the Kodak camera which was the first handheld camera. It allowed ordinary people to take pictures for the first time in the History of cameras. The photographic film and advanced shutter used in the Kodak allowed to be simple and easily operable. At a time when cameras used to be big, complicated and almost impossible for ordinary people to operate. George Eastman started working on making photography easier at the age of 24. Being school dropout who had never studied chemistry Eastman had to struggle a lot. It took almost a decade for Eastman to finally succeed. His inventions opened the door for other industries like Motion Pictures.
