I used to have a crush when I was in 8th Grade. But today, I think she's just being nice to me, even though she admitted that she had a crush on me to when I confessed to her first.

A lot of these behaviours can be attributed to girls who admire their male friends and respect them, but don't necessarily want a relationship with them. Some girls are naturally flirty by nature as well. As a man, you can meet a girl who straightens her appearance, changes her behaviour, say that you're amazing, compliment you all the time, but still despite all of that doesn't want to be anything more than just friends. That's not playing games, they just enjoy that kind of platonic relationship with men and if the man catches feelings, that was not her intent despite men being starved for that kind of female attention.

I wish it were simple and we could just check against a list of 10 things, but it just isn't that easy.

All the actions mentioned was me sending signals to my college crush back then. After we graduated, I muster up my courage and confessed to her. She was the first girl that I have asked out my entire life. But I was rejected, her reason was that she was straight and friendship is the only thing that she can offer to me.
I was sad about it and I already ended communication between us to move on.
