The humble-looking Toyota Corolla saloon remains resoundingly popular with Irish buyers. For 2023 it gets all of the same refinements and improvements as the hatch, but just looks a touch more conservative. Worth it for the improved space in the back seats and boot? Probably...

Just got the car, literally last friday and I have to say it's amazing. The range is around 950km, my fual consumption is 4.3ltr per 100km, which fot those who are using mpg, it's an insanely good economy. The power is enough, I mean if it's enough for Bulgaria where the words speed limit mean nothing, then I can't complain. Now taking all of that into account and the fact that the engine has barely been used, in a year this car will have an even better economy and better acceleration. So for anyone wondering whether they should get one, I would absolutely tell you to do so. The infotainment system is really good, easy to use and it's also very responsive.

Looking for estate version myself. About 2 months waiting list. In sol spec in Ireland is close to 42k. Luna spec has no lumbar support which I need. Tested lumbar sort in c-hr and it was really good. I'm in mk7 golf diesel so I have been finding it hard to find good seats in other cars but corolla impressed me. Wife has rav4 hybrid. To get best fuel economy on these use adaptive cruise control in eco mode. Save another .5ltr p/100km. Price in Ireland crazy but huge demand here as vw group waiting list is 6 to 18 months. I went to a few vw dealers and Toyota are more customer focused. Went into 2 skoda dealerships and no one approached me. Noticed in vw garages, salesman seat very high while customer has much lower chair. Psychology at play. Great review

Great video, I'm in England and have a 2019 saloon (no longer sold here unfortunately) The sold quality of the video is not the best IMO.

Since I live in the USA, I have been looking at Toyota Corolla‘s in the North American market, and I happen to get your video and I was like wow this Corolla looks really good and fancy and what-not. And then you say it’s €32, 000, no wonder why it’s so nice and fancy, it’s dang expensive. Toyota Corolla‘s here in the USA start at $21, 000-ish. And I know the euro is worth more than the dollar. We definitely don’t get that big station wagon version of the Corolla. The overall design is a little different/bigger and you guys get a 12” center main screen, we only get an 8”.

Do you know if the Trek Touring model will be available in Ireland again?

The picture with high grade interior from front seata ( with alcantara like material and gloss black plastic at headrest) is from hatchback version, not sedan.

Very impressed with my Corolla touring sports the material and build quality is excellent far far better than a ford or vauxhall and the mpg figures are excellent can achieve high 80s average about 70 Very comfortable nice seats and the hybrid system is very good it switches effortlessly between petrol and electric

Everybody is gunning for the estate.especially professionals (taxis, fleet cars). You want one, you have to go now, and you have to wait. 8 months in my case, 'in before Christmas' as they say. Baring any issues, like strikes, supplies...

Frankly, the Civic is better, but no estate, and not sure about transmission (don't think it's like Toyota, and it'd still based on crappy belt + pully system). And even they have supply / demand trouble.

SUV fatigue? I hope so 😄

Oh yeah. Corolla Touring Design, Bronze Imperial, 2L 196hp, towbar, parking assistances, buying back my old Mégane DCI estate, 34, 000€. Not too bad. Glad Toyota isn't taking advantage of the high demand.

The United States gets the saloon, too.

It's frustrating that in Ireland it comes with halogen headlamps while in other countries such as Spain and Poland it comes with LED.

Auto-braking is absolute TRASH. Really would prefer to go back to our 2022 Corolla hybrid!
