Thank you for this informative update. There are so many updates and improvements. Topaz should be applauded for all their improvements and developments. So glad you are showcasing what's changed as I would miss out. Cheers Dave😀

This was really interesting as I almost exclusively use the plugin from Photoshop - so I saw things I hadn't seen before! Great video as always. Thanks!

Forgot to ask. Are going to make a video Forchheim new TK9? That would be great.

Good update; it's really getting properly useable now.
My main gripe is that movement of the masking brush is still horribly laggy & when using the stylus on my touchscreen it's like having a rubber band connecting the mouse pointer & the 'blob'.

I haven't had occasion to do a side by side comparison between Photo AI and using the three stand-alone programs - Denoise, Sharpen and Gigapixel on the same image. I realize that Photo AI is always getting better and better with each iteration. My question to you is - do you think that the results it can yield are equal yet to what we can achieve using the original three programs?

Thank you Dave, I find that I still need to check the quality of Topaz Photo AI - denoise (using raw files) against the quality of the new denoise feature in Lightroom, I find many times Topaz AI makes the image look too smooth compared to Lightroom. I think it just depends on the image characteristics on which one works best.

Actually, the white board text looks a bit more distinctive with more contrast on the before than after.

Is there no way to create your own preset yet? I am researching this software for a client who wants to implement PhotoAI in his company. I need to test hundreds of batches which include thousands of pictures overall. I am not interested in Autopilot. Just one preset that will be applied to all images for mild enhancements. We realize that one preset with extreme corrections will not work on that many images. But you'll understand that manually entering settings and simply 'apply to all' is not an option for this many batches. Any suggestions?

I have used topaz denoise and topaz sharpening. Does topaz AI do as good as the standalone denoise and sharpining?

I wish crop would recall the last choice between maintaining aspect ratio and custom ratio (padlock open) rather than defaulting back to locked every time. In sharpening there have been several changes to the second line (under Strength). It was 'Clarity' and became 'Clear' and now reads 'Minor Denoise' (you said 'Minor Deblur'). My question is have they changed the functionality here (abandoning Clarity) or are they just having trouble deciding what to call this slider? Topaz is a great company BUT their frequent changes make it hard to keep up. I will get used to the new interface but am sure that they will change it again before I consider it second nature.

I've found that the noise reduction is fantastic. Best in class, IMO. I've not been a huge fan of the sharpening. It's pretty good but it rarely gets it right the first time and I have to just experiment with each photo with it overcooking a the image a lot of the time. Finally I do not like the new status display location. It's too small. Again just my opinion. Overall it's a really nice editing software that's good but not without flaws.

What pisses me off is every couple months they want another $79 to "Upgrade" to the latest version. I'm still on V1.3 and not willing to upgrade until they hit V2.0

The right hand ladies jacket is awful, surprised you didn't notice it! Perhaps you could have used recover detail to correct it

Great Tutorial, very informative! Topaz AI is solid, love it. One issue and it's not Topaz AI itself, my graphics card heats up and shuts down when it reaches (88 Celsius) occasionally on large mega pixel photos. If anyone has had this issue and knows how to resolve it, it would be helpful and much appreciated. I am using a Radeon RX 550, never had this issue prior except on AI, Gigapixel and a few Luminar extensions.

I've recently been using Lightroom's new Denoise which I found to be better than either Topaz Denoise or Photo AI. Of the latter two I prefer Topaz Denoise but the software is getting old now.
