Thanks Dave for the comparison. I also would have never found out about the legacy models. I don't read the fine print on the updates. You video is very helpful.

We should have now different squares to compare "standards", "motion", "lens", "before" and then we can adjust the strenghts in this "comparison view" like the old softwares ( eg Topaz Sharpen)

I really do like Photo AI - more as time goes by.

But, I find that the individual programs are more powerful; especially Gigapixel when used alone.

I also find a suggestion you made ages ago re Denoise very helpful. Re how sometimes using Denoise twice on an image can yield very nice, noticeable improvements is definitely true.

Great. Now the next change should be the ability to compare the various sharpening models all at once (as in Topaz Sharpen AI).

I think Topaz wanted to make Photo AI the tool for doing as much as possible without the user having to make choices. Just a different kind of product. Maybe they came to and end of what they could achieve with the standalone apps and wanted to get a new target audience, as they couldn’t sell their update plans for the standalone version anymore. Of course, why would we want to pay for enhancements, when the product does everything we need (or just can't be improved anymore.

But I think the majority of their users are those who experienced the standalone products and wanted that choice. And I know, more often than not I chose a different model than the software was choosing for me.

I'm glad you pointed out the "hidden" Lens Blur & Motion Blur settings. I missed the possibility of retrieving that on the update. Thanks Dave!

OK, well let's see if they are truly listening....TOPAZ...develop as iOS version....there, now we wait.

I don't know when they added the functionality to crop the image right away in the upscale tab but god damn is that ever nice.

Now just add very basic colour and tone adjustments (exposure, contrast, saturation, WB) and it'll be a true one-stop shop for a LOT of photos

Yes, I like the flexibility that this offers and very glad that these options have been reintroduced. One of the reasons I still keep Denoise and Sharpen in the locker is if I need even more control. I happened to be in contact with Topaz and got an early notification of this change so rapidly uploaded 1.3.1!. The pace of improvements in this app is commendable, good work Topaz.

Great to add the two other sharpening models. Now if they would only update Topaz Studio. Its a critical part of my workflow and a lot of others as well.

I still think they missed out on giving us an option in sharpen AI that was in-between the standard and “very blurry” models.
