Going back here and rewatching the theory after seeing the movie really puts a smile on my face. MatPat calling out possibilities in a movie makes the movie much more interesting as you already have added information based on Team Theorists research. I say that’s a HUGE W for Team Theorist. I get the idea of not wanting to make Wanda disliked as a female character, but everything I have seen people say about Wanda is that they are very excited to make her a villain. Having women in respected roles does mean they can’t be villains, it just means they also deserve to be well written and thought out. I for one would love to see Wanda become a villain or antihero. Her character is classical tragic and that’s not a bad thing to explore.

Something to keep in mind. Agatha said she’s stronger than the Sorcerer Supreme. Wong is currently the Sorcerer Supreme so they wrote themselves a little loophole. We don’t actually know if she’s stronger than Dr. Strange. My money is on Wanda for sure but they left themselves the way out on purpose for sure.

How do we know for sure that the "evil" Dr. Strange is actually a villainous doppleganger. The trailer doesn't necessarily imply he has any sinister agenda. Just because he's got a maniacal smile, doesn't exactly mean he's an antagonist. The only justification would be the whole Sm Raimi having made a bad guy clone of Ash in the Evil Dead series. Otherwise it could just be Strange Supreme from the What If series who is more experienced and knowledgeable about the multiverse making him an invaluable ally to the main live action Dr. Strange.

Rewatching this episode after watching Multiverse of Madness and this is definitely the universe where matpat's theories are correct

To add to the theory at the end there, there is Marvel Legends figure which is ANOTHER variant of Strange called "Defender Strange" which has a lot of ties to comics, including the Illuminati. What could that Strange be defending? None other than the Multiverse.

Agatha did say that she was more powerful than the sorcerer supreme. At the time however, Wong took over as the sorcerer supreme. While I don’t doubt that Wong is powerful, I think this detail points away from a Strange V Wanda battle.

"Your power exceeds that of the sorcerer supreme" might refer to Wong, since we learned that he was made sorcerer supreme when Strange was dusted. Another option is the Ancient One, since it hasn't been far too long since she died, and maybe not all people are aware of the event.
