RDR 1+2 is literally the best story playthroughs ive ever had, ive never been so immersed invested and felt so attached to a storyline like RDR 1+2's storylines. every character and every event in the story is such a rollercoaster of emotions its truly the epitome of great story writing on display

Arthur I think gain redemption giving his life and almost everything else he did good along the way

I'm just gonna say it now, John was a pretty decent "Dad" I guess you'd say with how fans saw him. His moral principles during his redemption arc still stick with me and the almost poetic reasoning he uses here, "We die alone but we live among men." Its a thing I've picked up on myself

The good ol'Johnny boy, he's the most kind and generous person in the gang and to everyone outside of it, i guess he takes after Arthur

People who dislike John never paid real attention to him.

Arthur saved jon whilst giving his life earning his redemption same with jon by getting his family out of the ranch and going out of those barn doors

In red dead 1 John also states that he had an unborn daughter that passed because of a miscarriage which had to be really sad. Also in the writing of RDR2 Arthur was supposed to have a son that dies in the cold but R* thought it’d be too dark so it was cut.
