The title is ridiculous. The question is ridiculous. I weigh in. Let me know what you think.

When showering/bathing you need a washcloth to create friction to properly clean your body. True Story....i went through a no washcloth phase (not sure why) and my boyfriend at the time was appaled, told me i wasn't getting clean. That morning i used a washcloth and was amazed how dirty the tub got. You need a washcloth to get clean.

I stay at the Waldorf Astoria in Chicago on average 2 - 4 times every quarter for work. The standard/base room ( not a suite with a fireplace) runs about 6 to $700.00 a night and that's before valet parking taxes and fees. In addition to my bathrobes and slippers.... They give me washcloths. Whoever said this knows nothing about what wealthy people use.

Sorry I'm late but, yes I have known of a particular group of people which some of them do not use face clothes or wash clothes at all. However, it wasn't a socioeconomic reason.

I am also a Physician and I must say there is a reason why surgeons do not scrub-up using a washcloth. And you know that most people use that cloth multiple times. It is left in a damp and warm environment covered with cellular materials (and other less friendly materials) to fester.

I switched from wet wipes to wash cloths when I saw what harm they did to the birds and sea life. Also gets makeup off better.

I’ve never heard that, but my mom did grow up poor and uses wash clothes. I don’t like them. I just exfoliate with a scrub once a week and use and antibacterial bar soap the rest of the week.

I am more concerned about those who rarely even use soap and water.

I usually use a poof and wash cloth aka towel. Sometimes I use a bar soap. My own bar; I know some people no longer use bar soap. I have used my hands with body wash. As long as I am getting clean, I’m happy. I know some people don’t use wash cloths, but I didn’t know they considered it “low” class? That’s crazy. 😜 So who are they making the towels for? They’re in the best stores. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️Thank you Dr Jen. ❤

I have heard this and I wonder it it comes from this idea that some have that washcloths and sponges carry germs which is taken out of context and misinformation. They think it is better to use disposable wipes and lots of them

Ridiculous question indeed. In our culture the carribean washcloths is all we know .Of course there are sponges, brushes tried them all wash cloths are the best.

My go-to bath cloth is Salux Nylon Japanese Beauty Skin Bath Wash Cloth
To exfoliate your skin African Sponge/Net ( I get mine from my local African( Beauty Store) or a Salux Nylon Japanese Beauty Skin Bath Wash Cloth/towel (I get mine from the Asian Oriental Market).
