The FV4034 Challenger 2 is a British main battle tank in service with the armies of the United Kingdom and Oman.

The #Challenger2 is an extensive redesign of the Challenger 1. Although the hull and automotive components seem similar, they are of a newer design and build than those of the Challenger 1 and only around 3% of components are interchangeable.

We don't use standard NATO munitions, the Challenger 1 cannot be upgraded to Challenger 2 as it has only 3% commonality and gun forwards it's 11.56m. Also it's worth mentioning that whilst the power output is 300hp lower than Abrams and Leopard 2, it's more about the torque and the Perkins condor has it in spades. Good video though

Challenger 2 isn't and upgrade of the original Challenger, It's almost an entirely different tank. I think they only share around 20-30% of the same parts.

the transmission on the challeneger 2 is so good even with less power its as fast as the leopard and the m1a1. so it doesnt suffer.
