Blue = normal
White = kinda deep/clean water
Brown = sand
Green = green colored life form [seaweed]
Grey = storm
So blue and white is best one

Blue seems the best because at least when you fall you can still see but grey is just terrifying because imagine you’re far out at sea or got dragged away by a riptide while surfing…

Clean and clear. Although I used to do a long paddle out locally in very brown river run off until a tiger shark fatality a couple years ago.

White is just aesthetically pleasing 😊😁.
Green looks like it's straight out of Moana 😂.

My experience has blue and teal green being best water to see what's going on around you in the water. In my area: when the water is grey, the weather is usually too unpleasant to be in - or it's June-gloom morning; brown water means you're too close to the ground/sand/shore - go out deeper; & white means crashing, tumultuous wave action to jump over or dive under, depending upon depth.
