I love that you played "Out On The Tiles" on this Tim, an underappreciated LZ tune and one of my favorites.

I have the software on my desktop computer. When you use it with Amplitube 5 it's awesome, so many tones with that combo and a few choice ToneX amp models.

Arguably, Tim Pierce has the best guitar, instructional, gear page on Youtube.

Such a polished sound! I love how he gives just a bit of "guitar face" while sharing musical bits to show equipment capabilities. Thank you for providing this giveaway opportunity to some of us ol' guys who love music but may never be able to afford / invest in "all of the bells and whistles" but can still appreciate the complexity of sounds that this and equipment like it can offer .

Looks really interesting. Even as an engineer, with hands on DSP software development experience, I've been resistant to these boxes for a long time, due to the UI, the menu-under-menu thing that all the 80's era synths had. The test for me, is if I haven't played it in a year, can I still remember how to navigate the controls and get the sound I want, without breaking out a manual.

Love the blind test! I personally liked 'sound 1' more but I love how I made that choice on what it sounded like and not what it looked like. I'd probably still buy a tone x over a plexi for the versatility anyway. I'd love to hear a capture of your actual amp. I beleive the speakers would make a huge difference in the overall sound. Thanks Tim! :)

When I worked for Lon I was exposed to a lot of different amp and speaker combinations, especially when I worked with your studio set up, Tim. I recently purchased IK Multimedia's Amplitube 5 Max for my computer and I can track nearly any combination of amps, speakers, effects, rooms, mics, the whole nine yards. And since I have a job where I travel the country regularly, the convenience is invaluable. I suspected that my next step would be the Tonex, and this video really drove that home! Thanks for the info, Tim!

I repair tube amps, but I'm a Luthier by trade and live in an area where we had nobody . I have some nice tube amps, but with the quality and price of tubes I have gone solid state . This sounds like a game changer because I have played some of the best amps made and if this is close in response and feel that's amazing .

your introduction to this pedal made me just buy it sight unseen, and wow... i've been in the process of downsizing and this along with my preamps and compressors for a clean sound, with an occasional return to my matchless amps for certain songs.. this is the answer to so many issues. many thanks Tim!

It's absolutely crazy the functionality you can get these days for a few hundred bucks. I had a Rockman when I started playing in the '80's. Paid $99 for it and had clean, distortion, and reverb I believe, and I thought it was great.

I purchased the pedal a month ago. I have never used any amp modeling ever. I absolutely love it. Have not gigged with it yet.

“I don’t wanna go deep on it, I just wanna use it and make music “

That’s exactly how I feel and why I haven’t gotten into these new school modelers. They seem complicated compared to my traditional tube amps

Your presentations, whether gear, musical knowledge, tone, even stories of sessions are the best on the web, sir. You are much appreciated.

The Marshall sounded better, but the ToneX was very respectable sounding. I use GuitarRig and Amplitude both, but I tend towards GuitarRig of the two. Thanks for the review.

I'm just learning to play the guitar and had a spark40 amp which was great at the time. I just recently went with ToneX pedal and a BoseSp1 pro+ and love that setup. The ToneX gives me so many different options and sounds. Love all your videos Tim and use them frequently.

Love how you use all the tools at your disposable Tim, whether they involve new technology or a classic form

thak you Tim - I will never understand the Modeling Haters out there. I have seen videos of the artist themselves that can't tell the difference from their own rig. Im burnt out on all haters actually. it's a big wonderful world out there and we are very blessed.

I am amazed how close the ToneX gets at a fraction of the price of a Kemper or QC. Obviously it does not have all the other effects those others systems do, but if all you want is great amp captures in a small foot pedal, and don’t need the extra effects, it’s a no brainer at $1500 less.

Dangit - you got me again, Tim! I love your playin' so much, I forget to pay attention to the tones the product is making! I have to watch all over Prayers for y'all in SoCal, brother! Saw your updates on the wildfires this week - unreal - prayers, man!
