Last year for school, I did a project about the history of pointe shoes. It’s really interesting.

Just like every time somebody says that a MAN created the first calendar, yet the first calendar was only 28 days long. No man needs to know how long 28 days are 😂😂😂

I'd believe a women invented pointe shoes bc men still barely do pointe and people act like they're doing something impossible, like ok, go jump again

I thought that Anna Pavlova's father trained her in ballet and wanted it to be more ethereal. So he made his daughter start to dance en pointe to achieve that look.... ??

What about the actual makers like Capizeo ? Men definitely had a part in the development of the modern pointe shoe. Taglionis Dad? (sorry about the spelling errors.)

I thought Balanchine invented the point shoe. I'm pretty sure i watched a documentary about it. This is so interesting.

I think it’s fair to say though that male inventors did refine and improve the pointe shoe, and men generally are the makers of pointe shoes even to this day.
