Zenless Zone Zero Review - The Final Verdict

Free-to-play and gacha games are a dime a dozen these days, with varying degrees of quality. Like Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero stands out, promising a sleek urban action experience with stylish combat.

The visuals and animation work are gorgeous, while the soundtrack is one of the year's best. However, at its heart, Zenless Zone Zero does a compelling job of telling the story of Belle and Wise, fleshing out the setting of New Eridu (and the Old World), and giving you reasons to care about its cast. Of course, the excellent combat helps, especially when you start to embrace the system's nuances.

Despite a slow-paced opening, some pacing issues and a few performance issues, Zenless Zone Zero is a fun hack-and-slash experience. It borrows its fair share of fundamentals from miHoYo's best, but its style is undeniable.

Problem with the combat:

- was expecting some shooting mechanics, instead of a single button press
- tag team fighting style a bit brainless
- lack of a counter or parry system
- no variety in combat,

Doesn't matter how good their combat systems and flashy effects are.. all the systems surrounding the games, specially quests and the AWFUL dialogue in their dull stories, make for games not really worth experiencing fully.
EDIT: Seeing the snake mini-game is enough to rest my case. They just DO NOT KNOW how to pad these kinds of games yet..

I ecourage everyone here to see what actual gacha gamers are saying about this game, dont trust critics who dont even put 5% of the effort into knowing about them that gacha YTers do and the truth is that this game is doing ok but no one says its a 8, not even the biggest Hoyo fans. You will never hear them talk about it but if you want to play a gacha that's only ever rising in popularity week after week then play Wuthering Waves.


Its free, its massive, it just got a 1.1 update with a new region, new storyline, and new characters not even 2 months in AND its one of if not the most friendly F2P games with the devs giving away 10 pulls like candy and tons of ways to get enough for the 5* you want for free and is currently already #3 globally behind Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail with their 4th character banner releasing in a few weeks.

As a note, gacha is only an issue for people who don't like gacha lol personally I love gacha games, and there is a reason theyre one of the most popular genres..at this point I think people need to stop dogging on a formula that works.

I got nothing to say about the content of the video. BUT I think the video itself is lacking in editing. Just showing some random gameplays makes watching the video dreadful. This is my first time on this channel and I'm surprised that this channel got 1.2M Subs with this level of quality.
