Brilliant that, I could listen to Dan all day. I'm a pretty awful putter but I've recently improved my strike by telling myself to hit it past my nose, which is the same as not being nosey.

I was always a nosey putter, all over the place! Been trying the Gary player method of waiting for ball to drop before looking up! As a drill, certainly gave me more confidence. Work in progress! Glad to see it being discussed here, great stuff

Good video Big Oggie Golf often putting is overlooked in video's as everyone wants to see drivers hit. Also good putters of the ball will have a nice long follow-throughs and not a stabby hit at the ball, it helps keep the ball on the intended line.

Love your energy and style John. I’m an 8 hkcapper and was also missing short ones with my scotty. Went back to the old 2 ball, much more stable. Great video, now I’ll check out your food one. All the best, David

Interesting video👍. Staying down and listening for the ball dropping was something I was into while I was still playing.
Did the same on short chips. The danger was concentrating too long on the ball "before" striking as I would lose the feel for distance control. Really I practiced the short game so much that my back has never been straight since😁

Interesting watching you putt. To me, it looks like when you put too much thought into it, you lose your natural putting stroke, and usually leave them short. The point on lengthening the stroke slightly, seems to work for you.

BTW, keep away from the LW school of putting, hard and straight, 😂
