Just purchased my first drone yesterday, arriving today. Looking forward to learning how to fly it. Good video. Very clearly explained and informative

Nice complete explanation for safe launching and landing by hand

Another useful video -- that's why I've subscribed! As someone involved in the industrial world, I would add that a pair of safety glasses (with sides) would not be a bad idea, and they're cheap.

Check the branches and hold it tight when flipping over to hand catch it..

Clearly explained thank you very much! Just one question, I assume you have obstacles turned off?

Thanks for your videos. They are quite helpful in terms of what you point out in order to make the flying process much easier. Where do you get all of the background music from? Is there a monthly fee involved? If so, what site do you subscribe to?

What if you have chosen RTH option? Do you have to turn off RTH option first and then manually land it on your hand? How do you do it with RTH option and landing?

Couple suggestions here. I recommend having the wind go across the body. Some cheaper drones may overcorrect from a sudden gust of wind at takeoff which (if your back is to the wind) may cause the drone to fly into you. Another suggestion is to hold the drone above your head when launching, not at face level. As he mentioned, those props can cut. Lastly, practice this either indoors or on a calm day. Doing your first few launch/catch attempts on a breezy day might not go well.

I bought my drone 2 years ago to fly from my sailboat. It has been scary thinking about this especailly catching the drone. This will be the year. I have caught the drone while on solid ground and only cut my finger (bad) once. I am thinking of wearing a glove that I use for cutting in the kitchen. The biggest challenge I face while catching on the boat is that we will be moving somewhat and there is rigging all around. Someone else will be steering the boat and sails will be luffing. Hopefully there will be calm seas or that could be a real challenge. Any advice? Also, I have seen videos that as soon as you launch the drone it "moves" away but when in actuallity we are moving forward so I need to take that into consideration. Any advice? Thank you.

There is a drone opportunity from Naples to the ft. Myers area on a charter fishing boat that is being advertised. For those that do what you do, it is a great opportunity.

I am a brand new licensed 107 pilot with very little experience in actual flight time therefore I won't work commercially until I get obviously more time in. I am getting better by the day flight by flight on my training drone therefore I do not think it will be very long. I took the 107 exam to learn more about safety and procedures for those around me and myself first before considering anything and happy that I did. But if anyone has an interest in Florida preferably south west Florida where the job opportunity is, just post below and I will get the information. In a couple months, I will experiment with launching and retrieving drones from hand but clearly not now . I enjoyed the video however.

Turning the drone up side down.... I never use that. The props stops within a second if You keep the hand steady. Using an open hand, no need to grab the drone.
