Great vid, love how to the point it is.

A note to those having issues:
Maya seems VERY picky when it comes to naming the image sequence. I think the best format is "name.####" and not something like "name####". It's simple but without the period, it wouldn't work right for me.

Also, if you have After Effects, it's very easy to create an image sequence. Just import your video, add to render queue, open output module settings and change format to JPEG sequence. Next, make sure to save your images as "name.####"

thanks! also just in case anyone else had this problem the sequence needs to be " name.### " the dot is necessary between the name and the number. :)

Hello, thank you for the video. I am running into an issue where i just get a yellow outline. I am new to Maya so maybe i need a setting selected. I have tried the .mov from the camera, also converted it to avi and quicktime using media encoder but none seem to work. Any help would be appreciated and thanks again for taking the time out to make this video

Question when you find some video ref online you want to use, what do you use to convert it to .Mov?
I have d/l a mp4 file and I want to trim it and make the trimmed part an .Mov to take into Maya.

I tried doing it with QuickTime Pro, but that didn't work :/
I get an error -43 file not found?
