How to import every video into Cubase

A lot of couple got trouble importing video files to Cubase or Nuendo. But here is my free tool of choice for Windows:

Hi, do you use a PC or an Apple, I converted the file like you do, but my cubase by PC doesn't works, thanks

in old cubase 5 pro you can just rename mkv video (and every another video formats) extension to avi or mp4 and cubase can work with it
and more imortant-you can rename the video and subtitles in one folder to one name (example 1.avi and 1.ass or srt) and cubase will show it)) 3-5 seconds and you can work without any decoding converting moments))

Any ideas why this would not work in Cubase 13? I've been trying to convert certain x264 mp4 videos, that don't open into something that would, without success. Initially, C13 was super tolerant regarding mp4 videos, and now it seems next to impossible to import anything.

Hey there, can i ask something? Why my video player not even pop up when i double-clicked the video track? Also i checked on studio setup on video player cubase ask me to update my graphic card driver or change to more effective graphic card.

I already updated all my drivers on GeForce experience and the result still same.

Should I repair it or change my graphic card?
